The Haley Cremer Foundation (HCF) hopes that you and your family are in good health and doing well despite our public health crisis. Now in our sixth year, the pandemic has given us cause to reflect on our mission and priorities as a foundation and how we can best respond in the face of COVID-19.First, in light of the current uncertainty, we must regrettably forego our commemorative, annual event, the 2020 Haley Cremer Foundation Golf Classic and Dragonfly Dinner Fundraiser. Aside from the fact that the event generates the bulk of the dollars we distribute through the Foundation in Haley’s memory, we will also miss the opportunity to highlight our work and thank you, our loyal supporters, as many of you have been with us since our inception in 2015. We hope we will see you at the Golf Classic and Dragonfly Dinner Fundraiser in 2021! We are grateful for your past support whether you have been a Sponsor, Donor, Golfer, Auction Item Donor or a Dinner Guest at the Golf Classic and Dragonfly Dinner Fundraiser. We do hope that you will consider contributing to the Haley Cremer Foundation THIS YEAR, by the date of the canceled event, July 10, to support our commitment to consistently provide tangible assistance in times when it’s most desperately needed. Haley did not take much for granted in life, and her actions were defined by kindness and consideration for others. She brought encouragement and lifted people up in times of struggle and sadness. In this spirit, HCF recently committed $5,000 to the One-Chelsea Fund to support efforts for families in Chelsea – a Massachusetts community hit particularly hard by COVID 19. Pursuant to our mission, HCF will once again make a substantial contribution toward medical research. We also plan to provide significant grants this year to bereavement organizations that support families who are grieving the loss of a loved one—as this need will unfortunately heighten as a result of the pandemic. In addition, we will award the inaugural Haley Cremer Foundation Physical Therapy Scholarships and will continue to provide scholarships for a new round of college-bound high school seniors that have demonstrated altruism and dedication to those in need. Thank you for helping us keep Haley’s legacy alive as the Foundation endeavors to build on her core values: Compassion for others; Instilling Perseverance in the face of hardship; Fostering Insight and recovery; Championing Renewal of spirit.
