MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer
The Haley Cremer Foundation was founded in 2015 in loving memory of an outgoing, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual. Haley was tragically taken from us on Father’s Day, June 15, 2014. At the time of her death, Haley was preparing to enter her junior year at Simmons College to continue her studies toward a degree in physical therapy. She is remembered by all that knew her as someone who cared deeply for others. The Haley Cremer Foundation will honor Haley’s memory by striving to do the same. Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of many, as Haley did during her short time with all of us.
Haley was a huge supporter of MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer having become involved with fundraising and the annual walk in Boston during her mother Ivie’s bout with breast cancer. In September 2012, Haley told Ivie, “You need to pay it forward Mom”. Haley helped establish the team “Ivie’s Gang” along with the annual ritual of fundraising and walking to support Strides in honor of her mom being a cancer survivor.
Haley and her Simmons College friends walked with us for two years before she was tragically killed. In 2014, “Ivie’s Gang” changed their team name to “Ivie’s Gang / Haley Cremer Foundation” and continues fundraising and walking in memory of Haley.
In 2015 the Haley Cremer Foundation made an initial $5,000.00 donation to MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer in Haley’s memory.
Team Haley Cremer Foundation & Ivie’s Gang participated in the 2016 Making Strides walk and the Haley Cremer Foundation again made a $5,000.00 donation to MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer in Haley’s memory.
Please plan to join us to walk in 2017. We’ll update the date as soon as it is published. DCR Hatch Shell, 47 David Mugar Way, Boston, MA is the location for the Making Strides of Boston walk.
