The Foundation awarded a grant to the Northeastern University Physical Therapy Club to subsidize student attendance at the 2018 National Student Conclave conference in Providence, RI October 13-14, 2018.  “We are pleased to support attendance by students from Northeastern University and other area schools to such a meaningful conference,” stated Ivie Cremer, Foundation President. “Students pursuing their Doctorate in Physical Therapy are eligible under the grant”.

Eric Folmar, Director of the Transitional DPT Program / Assistant Clinical Professor in Northeastern University’s Department of Physical Therapy commented, “at National Student Conclave (NSC), students get the opportunity to network with other PT and PTA peers, professionals, and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) leaders while attending educational sessions specifically designed for their physical therapy career. NSC is the only APTA national conference that’s planned for students, by students, giving them the opportunity to discover, grow, and transform with APTA. I was fortunate enough to attend NSC when I was a student. It was my first experience with industry leaders, learning, networking, and experiencing some of the great opportunities our profession has to offer.  The Foundation has made great efforts to afford students the opportunity to attend events such as this.  It is wonderful to see the impact that these experiences and the foundation are having on our future PT’s”.
