Continuing its long standing support for breast cancer research at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center, the Foundation is pleased to announce new support for the critical research being carried out by Dr. Elizabeth Mittendorf and Dr. Tari King in the areas of breast surgery and the development of immunotherapy for breast cancer.

“The collaboration on research across the medical oncology, radiation oncology, cancer pathology, and diagnostic imaging teams, focused on prevention and diagnosis to treatment and survivorship being overseen by Dr. Mittendorf and Dr. King is changing lives for many patients diagnosed with breast cancer,” expressed Ivie Cremer, the Foundation’s President and breast cancer survivor.

“The Breast cancer Personalized Risk assessment, Education, and Prevention (B-PREP) program that has been developed at the Comprehensive Breast Health Center has enabled a highly individualized approach to risk assessment, screening, and preventive care,” commented Dr. Mittendorf. “We are able to provide every woman with a comprehensive evaluation of her risk for developing breast cancer and strategies for risk reduction.”
