Nashoba Associated Boards of Health (NABH)

The Haley Cremer Foundation proudly supports the Nashoba Associated Boards of Health public grief and bereavement program.

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health (NABH) launched a free, public grief and bereavement program for adults across its region in September 2023.  The NABH Masters-prepared grief counselor conducts monthly drop-in support groups as well as programs and workshops by request in accessible community spaces across the health district.  Nashoba Associated Boards of Health (NABH) is a primarily rural, sixteen-town public health district serving North Central Massachusetts and the Nashoba Valley region, working in partnership with each local Board of Health in the district and carrying out the day-to-day public health work on their behalf.  This work includes promoting healthy communities by education, outreach, inspections, assessments and the enforcement of public health laws and regulations.  The goal of NABH’s grief and bereavement program is to positively impact the health and wellbeing of the region’s approximately 120,000 residents by providing accessible support and resources to help people navigate grief and loss past, present, and future as a form of health promotion and primary prevention.  In a primarily rural region where accessible behavioral health supports are lacking, grief and bereavement support IS a critical public health service.
